Everything you need to know
How we keep children safe, how settling in works, and where to find our policies and forms. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, just ask.
Safeguarding & safety
Your child’s safety comes first
We take safety seriously in everything we do, so that you can leave your child with complete peace of mind.
Safeguarding
Children’s welfare comes first. Everyone who works with children is DBS checked and trained to recognise and act on safeguarding concerns.
First aid
Paediatric first aid trained adults are on site, and any accidents are recorded and shared with you the same day.
Fire safety
Fire safety equipment is in place and checked, and we practise evacuations regularly so children know what to do.
Secure entry and exit
The setting is kept secure throughout the day, and visitors are always greeted and supervised.
Hygiene
Regular cleaning, handwashing routines and careful nappy-changing and food-handling practices help keep everyone healthy.
Allergies and medication
Allergies and dietary needs are recorded and followed. Medication is only given with your written consent and is always logged.
Collection arrangements
Children are only released to adults you have authorised in advance. We’ll agree collection arrangements with you when your child starts.
Outdoor safety
Outdoor areas are checked before use, children are supervised at all times, and we dress for the weather and the sun.
Emergency procedures
We have clear plans for emergencies, and up-to-date contact details so we can reach you quickly if we ever need to.
To protect the children in our care, we don’t publish detailed security arrangements online. We’re happy to talk you through our procedures in person when you visit.
Settling in
A gentle start
Starting somewhere new is a big step for little ones and their grown-ups. We take it at your child’s pace.
- Visit us. Come and look around, meet us and ask anything you like.
- Tell us about your child. Their routines, likes, comforts and anything they need extra help with.
- Settling-in sessions. Short visits together, then a little time on their own, building up gradually.
- Stay in touch. We’ll keep you updated as your child settles and grows in confidence.
Fees & availability
Please contact us for more information. We’ll talk through fees, availability and your individual requirements with you directly. We also accept 15 & 30 hour funded places.
Policies & forms
Policies and forms
Our policies explain how we care for children and run the setting. They’re available to read when you visit, or we can send them to you on request.
